Gopal Engineering Works was founded in 2000 as a professionally managed manufacturer of air shafts and rubber rollers. The workshop sits in Dev Estate on Piplaj Pirana Road in Ahmedabad, Gujarat — close to the industrial belt the company has served from day one.
The work is straightforward. Engineer the roller to the customer's drawing. Compound the rubber for the job — abrasion, temperature, chemistry. Bond it to the core. Grind, balance, inspect. Ship. The roller has to run true and the cover has to hold up.
Today the workshop builds across eleven product lines — air shafts, hard-chrome rollers, aluminium rollers, heating and chilled rollers, mild steel rollers, anilox rollers, expander and bow rollers, grooved rollers, flexo and gravure rubber rollers, lamination rollers and polyurethane rollers — for customers across plastic, printing, packaging, paper, textile and converting industries.
We have an in-house R&D facility that lets us design rollers to your requirement and specification, under strict supervision of experienced consultants. The final inspection on every roller is carried out by technically sound engineers — not just a sign-off, but an actual check.
A small, hands-on team in Ahmedabad — from the shop floor to the front office.

He keeps the shop to one rule: the roller has to run true, and the cover has to hold up. Every job leaves the Ahmedabad workshop measured against it.

05The standards every roller is held to before it leaves the workshop. Inspection is carried out by technically sound, experienced engineers.
Every roller is built to drawing — diameter, length, concentricity. Stage-wise checks ensure dimensions hold through grinding and balancing.
The compound is chosen for the job — abrasion, temperature, chemical resistance. Nine polymer families on hand: Nitrile, EPDM, PU, Silicone, Neoprene, Natural, Hypalon, Viton, Butyl.
Hardness is checked across the full face of the roller, not just at the ends. The Shore A reading is consistent end-to-end, every time.
The rubber bonds to the core through a controlled adhesion process — so the cover holds under load, heat and continuous run.
Every batch of compound is tested for tensile strength and elongation before it touches a core. No surprises in the field.
Rollers are dynamically balanced before they ship — and the compound is formulated for low compression set so the roller stays round under continuous nip pressure.
Quotes go out fast and lead times are honoured. Repair work is treated with the same urgency as new build.
